About KPC
We Solve Complex Communication Problems.
We do our best work when we are sitting alongside leaders, helping support how they communicate and designing messages that move people. Sometimes that means confidential counsel in the boardroom, and other times, it means helping leaders and their teams find their collective voice.
Either way, it means we show up prepared for just about anything.
about us
A Foundation in Public Safety Communications
Kaitlyn Perez Communications (KPC) is a founder-led communications firm for leaders navigating moments that matter. When the stakes are high and the spotlight is sharp, we ensure messages are clear, credible, and grounded in purpose.
Our expertise in crisis communications didn’t come from a textbook or a graduate degree. Instead, it came from serving in highly visible public-facing roles in policing and local government. Kaitlyn learned in real time, communicating during natural disasters and critical incidents where the stakes were high, and people and communities were in true crisis.
Because of these experiences, Kaitlyn brings a unique, steady hand and strategic instinct that leaders rely on. She and her team are known for bringing order to complexity, designing messaging that anticipates audience reaction, and positioning leaders to respond thoughtfully when it matters most.

Kaitlyn Perez
Founder | CEO
Kaitlyn Perez is the Founder and CEO of KPC, where she brings more than 15 years of experience guiding CEOs, government leaders, and legacy organizations through complex reputational challenges and transformative moments. Her work in high-stakes public relations, crisis management, and strategic communications helps organizations navigate scrutiny with clarity, confidence, and credibility.
Kaitlyn has deep expertise in the construction industry, advising general and specialty contractors, trade associations, and related organizations on proactive communications, stakeholder engagement, and reputational risk management. Her background allows her to anticipate issues before they escalate and develop messaging that protects trust while supporting long-term business goals.
Prior to founding KPC, Kaitlyn served as the Community Affairs Director and spokeswoman for the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, where she led communications during critical incidents, officer-involved events, and high-profile investigations. In that role, she operated at the intersection of public safety, legal scrutiny, media pressure, and community trust, often in real time and under intense public attention. This experience gives her a rare, firsthand understanding of how crises unfold, how information must be managed responsibly, and how credibility is earned and protected when the stakes are highest.
This law enforcement foundation is a key differentiator in Kaitlyn’s work. It shapes her disciplined, calm approach to crisis response; her ability to navigate sensitive issues involving regulatory, legal, and public accountability; and her emphasis on transparency, preparation, and trust-building.
Her leadership and impact have been recognized globally by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and locally through honors including the Business Observer’s 40 Under 40. She is also a graduate of Saint Leo University’s Command Officer Management Program.
Kaitlyn’s specialties include executive messaging and narrative development, reputation management and crisis response, strategic counsel for sensitive and high-profile issues, and media relations and stakeholder engagement.

Caitlyn Anderson
Senior Communications Strategist
Caitlyn Anderson is a senior communications strategist with a background spanning public safety, nonprofit, and private-sector communications. She brings a disciplined, results-driven approach to media relations, social media, and strategic communications planning, helping organizations communicate clearly, credibly, and effectively.
She spent five years as a public information officer for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, where she led social media strategy and executed media relations. In that role, she managed communications during critical incidents and high-profile situations, balancing accuracy, transparency, and public trust. This experience provides a strong foundation in crisis communication and gave her a real-world understanding of how messaging performs when scrutiny is immediate and the stakes are high.
After serving as the first civilian manager of the unit, she left the sheriff’s office to join a Fort Myers–based public relations and marketing firm. There, she managed public relations strategy for nonprofits, restaurants, and home builders. This role strengthened her ability to create robust communications plans and execute tactical elements to achieve business objectives.
Before joining KPC, she was a communications strategist for a national nonprofit focused on law enforcement research. In that role, she managed media relations, social media across the organization’s multiple platforms, email marketing, and project-based promotional initiatives. This work bridged public safety expertise with data-driven storytelling and national-level communications strategy.
She received her Accredited in Public Relations (APR) in 2023, reflecting her commitment to ethical, strategic, and best-in-class communications practices.
Her specialties include social media management, strategic communications planning, crisis and public safety communication, and multi-sector client experience spanning government, nonprofit organizations, and the private sector.
We don’t manage media lists or chase headlines
What we do is pretty straightforward: we help leaders communicate.
Some days we are brought in under blue skies, and on others, we are called in to manage crises in real time. Either way, our approach is just as much storytelling as it is steady hand.
Our work is strategic, collaborative, and deeply grounded in trust.
